Matt stepped into the 3d printer world...

And vanished.

He awoke to find himself trapped in the dystopian nightmare of 2025, facing violent images that were not his own... And driven by an unknown force to change expressions for the better.

His only partner on this journey is Amber—a helper from his own time, who appears in the form of a friend to lean on, which everyone can see, and hear...

And so Matt finds himself leaping from print to print... and hoping each time... that his next print, will make someone smile.

The Journey

Matt's been around the block in Tech, yo. From Ramada phone reservations, telecom, marketing, massage, eyelash extensions, prescriptions, student loans., then Education.

By day, Matt's a Microsoft SQL Server database developer working remotely from Phoenix, Arizona. Claude code has been awesome, wrote this site, fr.

Matt's been a tinkerer his whole life. Found and fixed a motorized squirtgun at 9 yrs old. Then, in his early 20s, Matt learned to weld, made some stuff, but it was too slow.

He tried 3d printing a few times, failed. Then 2025 came, and suddenly, 3D printing wasn't a constant battle with bed adhesion and failed prints. It just... worked. Reliably. Beautifully. With colors that actually looked good. Then Matt bought a few more, because apparently when you find something that works, you don't buy one, you buy five.

The Failed Attempts

2014: Matt tried 3D printing for the first time. Failed. Horribly. The technology just wasn't there yet, and neither was his patience.

2020 (COVID): Tried again during lockdown. Better, but still not quite ready. The prints were decent, but the reliability was frustrating.

AI + Human. That's the Point.

We use AI. A lot of it, gpt for some, claude code for most, we're not going to pretend otherwise.

But here's the thing: AI is a tool, not a replacement. Every 3D model gets human review. SkyNet is not welcome here. Every print gets inspected. Every order gets personal attention, by a human. The AI helps us work faster and smarter—the human touch ensures it actually looks good.

It's just Amber and Matt against the world, with a whole lot of algorithmic assistance.
